Six months ago, on June 1, 2024, I embarked on an exciting and challenging journey—the launch of Cote Law Group. Today, as we celebrate our half-birthday, I want to take a moment to reflect on where we started, what we’ve accomplished, and where we’re headed next.
From the beginning, my goal has been clear: to provide high-quality representation in estate planning, real estate, and business law. But more than that, I envisioned building a firm that not only meets clients’ immediate needs but becomes a trusted resource for decades to come—a place clients return to for guidance and support at every stage of their lives.
Starting a firm wasn’t easy. Like any new business, we’ve faced our share of challenges. One area we’re particularly focused on improving is implementing a better client relationship management system. We want to track where our clients are in the process, communicate even more effectively, and stay connected long after their legal matter is resolved. Our ultimate goal is to create lasting relationships and be the first call when our clients or their families need legal help.
Despite these challenges, I was fortunate to start with an incredible team. Brianna and Jenny, our two paralegals, have been instrumental in delivering exceptional service to our clients. Their dedication and attention to detail have helped us navigate the complexities of estate planning, real estate, and business law with confidence and care. I’ve also had the privilege of working alongside experienced attorneys whose knowledge and support have been invaluable to our success.
In these six months, we’ve made significant strides. We’ve developed internal processes to ensure a seamless experience for every client, established bank accounts, and built partnerships with financial advisors, real estate agents, lenders, and accountants. These relationships have been key to providing comprehensive support to the individuals and businesses we serve.
Education has been another cornerstone of our efforts. We’ve created a website filled with informative content designed to empower clients and the public with knowledge about estate planning, real estate, and business law. By sharing these resources, we’re helping people make informed decisions and take proactive steps to protect their families and assets.
I’m proud to say that we’ve also achieved profitability during these early months, a testament to the trust our clients have placed in us and the hard work of our team. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us—our clients, professional partners, and my family.
As we look ahead to 2025, I’m excited about what’s next. Our workload continues to grow, and we plan to bring on another attorney to help meet the increasing demand. I’m also working on my first book, focused on estate planning, which I hope will provide valuable insights to both clients and professionals.
We’re also aiming to take education to the next level by developing high-quality online courses. These courses will give clients and the public a deeper understanding of estate planning, real estate, and the law in general. Meeting amazing professionals and building strategic partnerships has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey, and I’m eager to grow those connections even further.
Above all, our mission remains the same: to grow Cote Law Group into the premier estate planning, real estate, and business law firm on the South Shore. We want every client to be blown away by their experience, and we hope to create a ripple effect by helping their friends and families, too. Helping families plan and grow is at the heart of what we do, and in 2025, we’re determined to do even more.
